Join us for Night on Campus, an evening of FREE events at the University of Southampton’s Avenue Campus* led by Archaeology and Film, with special guest the ever-popular Astrodome!.

At 6:30pm, the whole family is welcome to enjoy a screening of Night at the Museum (PG, 1h48m), with a special introduction by zooarchaeologist Dr Jaco Weinstock of Archaeology who will set the stage with a presentation and display of the same animal skeletons you would find in a museum! Great for everyone! Bring your own popcorn and snacks!

For the adult audience, a screening of Le Salaire de la Peur (NR, 2h11m) will begin at 7:30pm, with a Q&A session led by Prof Lucy Mazdon, Head of Film. Due to film content, 16+ are recommended for this screening.

The Astrodome is great for everyone and will be running sessions from 5:45-8:20pm in 40 minute slots- be sure to book your place now, as these fill up fast! Explore the astrophysics of our universe in the Soton Astrodome mobile planetarium  presented by Physics and Astronomy PhD students and Undergraduates. The students will give you a taster of their world-leading research and will also introduce you to the astronomy highlights in the night sky on the day of the event.
